Q.
What is a "Same"?
A.
A
"Same" is a cross between a
Simulation and a Game...
(Simulation + Game = "SAME")
A Same is an accurate virtual replica of
a real place that is built with accurate
construction documents and accurate
terrain data which is skinned with
either Satellite Imagery or Ariel
Photography.
A "Same" is run through a 3D game engine
to create a 100% "3D Interactive Virtual
Environment" (3DIVE) that has Massive
Multiple Online Game (MMOG)
capabilities.
Q.
Where did TerraSame obtain the
Digital Terrain Data?
A.
A department within the Canadian
Natural Resources called Geobase,
and the United States Geographical
Survey.
Canada's' Geobase, has been
presenting our 3D Whistler 2010 Olympics
Project at various GIS symposiums
such as the
"2007 GeoTec Event"
which was held in Calgary, Alberta Canada.
To interact in a
"Same", you need nothing
more than a computer and a connection to
the internet.
Of course, the stronger
your computer, the
better the "Same" will
allow you to interact.
